Literary Agents

Because I'm (slowly) writing a NOVEL, I dug out these Youtubes... I hope they interest some of you too:

NOW HERE'S A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Irving "Swifty" Lazar, legendary Hollywood films and books agent who represented Lauren Bacall, Truman Capote, Cher, Joan Collins, Noel Coward, Ira Gershwin, Cary Grant, Moss Hart, Ernest Hemingway, Gene Kelly, Madonna, Walter Matthau, Larry McMurtry, Vladimir Nabokov, Clifford Odets, Cole Porter, William Saroyan, Irwin Shaw, Richard Nixon and Tennessee Williams. interviewed here at Spago's Restaurant, Beverly Hills on Oscars night... It is said that if only he hadn't died in the early 1990s, Random House would never have had the cheek to sue Joan Collins in 1996 over badly written novels. He always said "if you pay a star to write a book, don't expect a professional author" ~~ yes, exactly.
